What I did

Served as a Teaching Assistant for the Databases course, supporting 150+ students across lab sessions, assignments, and doubt-clearing.

On the technical side: helped students work through SQL query debugging, schema design problems, and core database concepts — normalisation, indexing, transactions, and the like. A lot of the real learning happened in one-on-one debugging sessions where the goal was to get students to spot their own mistakes, not just hand them the answer.

On the teaching side: prepared practice exercises and lab material, graded assignments, and ran sessions that tried to make abstract concepts (looking at you, joins and query optimisation) actually click.

What I took from it

Explaining something clearly to 150 different people — each stuck on a different thing — is its own skill. It sharpened how I think about communicating technical ideas, and made me a noticeably better debugger in the process.
